Unique experience to see the "other" side of Budapest. Guide was very accommodating of our group, including one member with claustrophobia. There are often several routes to advance to the next space, so the more adventurous can go one way and others have a different option. It is very warm in the cave compared to outside during the winter, so a Tshirt is fine as thick coveralls are provided. At one point we sat in a large room in the cave and turned off all our headlamps and kept silent for a while - very cool experience with no light or sound. Highly recommended for families.

The experience is amazing and our guide was amazing.. he’s a geologist and he is just great!! Can be risky and scary at certain points. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes u don’t mind getting super dirty.

Fantastic and unique experience. Laszlo was an excellent guide, I confided I was nervous in small spaces and he was very kind and reassuring and went above and beyond to make sure we all felt safe, whilst educating us about the caves. It is a moderately active experience, as there is crawling/crouching and very small degree of climbing involved, but as someone who is not a fitness gal, it was absolutely fine, if a bit challenging in some places, but that's part of the fun! I recommend sticking to a t-shirt and leggings as you will get very warm in the caves, and you get overalls but will get dirty regardless. Highly recommend, my friends and I had a great time :)

We did this cave tour with Melinda as our guide. Phenomenal adventure. Would do it again tomorrow if we could. That said… there’s a few nice-to-knows. It’s a very physical activity, really only appropriate for fairly fit people. If you’re claustrophobic, don’t go; you spend the majority of the time sliding, scooting, or belly crawling through narrow tunnels. Bring gloves if you can - even hardware store cheapo latex and mesh ones. Someone in our group got stuck, literally stuck (it’s possible it may have been my husband who wears a 34” waist pant). Had to be pushed from one side and pulled from the other to get unwedged. There was an alternative route around this squeeze, so if it feels too tight, tell your guide before you keep trying to squash yourself through. Wear rugged sneakers or hiking boots that you don’t mind getting very dirty. It’s easy to get to on public transportation. Book it.

I went on the English Adventure Caving Tour with Peter. It was super safe, challenging and a unique/cool experience. Peter is very knowledgeable about the cave system and full of fun facts about the treasures in the cave.
