Overview

Your 2,5 -hour walking tour starts from the Catalani Church, an example of Arab-Norman style. Then you will continue to the City Hall, the biggest palace ever rebuilt after the earthquake of 1908. The Vittorio Emanuele Gallery, located in Antonello Square, is the second one in Southern Italy. An highlight of the tour is the Cathedral Square, with its the beautiful bell tower which was built between 1930 and 1933. The tour will end at the Museum of the Sicilian Puppet Theater, an exhibition of the priceless collection of Gargano Family.

Memorable day exploring ancient history in Messina!

Exploring Messina with our guide, Chiara, was a day we won’t soon forget! Chiara was very knowledgeable and every minute of our 2 hour walking tour was filled with ancient architecture, fountains, cathedrals and a delicious treat at a local bakery. Most amazing was the Bell Tower, and the history behind it! What a privilege to experience it!

Chiara did a wonderful job. We walked around Messina and since she is from here we felt like we learned a lot about the local history. Seeing the puppet shop was amazingly cool and meeting the 5th generation still running the shop was very special. Her choice on cannoli’s was delicious..best we have ever had. Great job in a beautiful city.

Chiara did an amazing job telling us about Messina and we walked to many great places. The puppet museum was fun, pastries shop was delicious and the cathedral with bell tower was amazing.

Claudio our tour guide was fantastico . The puppet store marionette owner was soo nice to have us. Very informative. The free gelato or cannoli . The friendly faces. The weather and joys it brought to our tour . Book it it is soo worth it.
