This trip was one of the highlights of my trip to Las Vegas. And I say that even though there was an incident which meant I didn't get the trip I'd signed up for. I'd intended to take the Postcard tour where the rafts put in just below the dam. However, the government agency responsible for the dam unexpectedly denied the company access to the put in point at the last minute. The company called an audible and offered us a raft trip starting and ending at Willow Beach some miles down the river. (A full refund would have been another alternative.) We chose the alternate trip and enjoyed it immensely. Seeing the black canyon by river was marvelous, it was really beautiful. The raft pilot/tour guide (Sarah) was friendly, energetic and knowledgeable. Overall it was a relaxing and chill experience out on the raft-a great way to forget about the real world for an hour or two. We did not get to see the Hoover Dam from the vantage point of the river but that hardly mattered-maybe next time? Furthermore, the van transportation to/from Las Vegas was convenient. The pick-up instructions were clearly communicated by email and real time texts, both in the days prior to our tour and the morning of. Our driver was personable and a safe driver. If you're in the area, book a trip with these guys, it will be worth it!

The trip was amazing. The details, history, and awesomeness of the area was a sight to see. I took the 1-1/2 hour tour, but our tour guide turned our short time into what felt like a full. fascinating. relaxing day. As a solo traveler, we immediately made good friends. Taking a dip in the Black Canyon River made us feel like a part of history.
