Overview

A full day tour to the Pak Ou Caves and Kuang Si Waterfalls. We depart Luang Prabang boat pier in the morning. Floating along the Mekong River, you will be in love with the beautiful landscape in Luang Prabang. Stop by a village "Ban Xang Hai" for tasting unique local rice whisky and rice wine. Afterward, exploring the mystery cave with local tour guide. Having buffet lunch at the restaurant overlooking the Mekong river. In the afternoon, we take a car to waterfalls and enjoy swimming in the cool water. At 5pm, we leave for the city. Stop by a Hmong village en route. We'll meet Hmong people wearing traditional cloths and see their small Hmong museum. Arrival at the city center or your hotel at 6:00. There is an option visiting waterfalls in the morning and Caves and Sunset Boat Cruise in the afternoon. This is the same experience except the morning and afternoon itineraries are swapped.

A wonderful and perfect day trip

This was a very worthwhile one-day tour. The schedule is not tight, and I'm not very tired at the end of the day. Mr. Pingpong, the tour guide, gave very detailed explanations and often cracked some small jokes to liven up the atmosphere. I and the others in the group all had a rather pleasant day. What was impressive was that free ice-cold beer was always available. Lao whisky is also quite delicious.

Absolutely amazing tour! Easy pick up and good tour guide! we also had an amazing group of people with us which make a tour even more greater ! Our guide Ping Pong was amazing and he is very knowledgeable!! Elephants was incredible! Boat ride was great too!

We had a truly wonderful day! Our tour guide, Kon (apologies if the spelling is incorrect), was fantastic — incredibly positive and had a great sense of humor. He showed us a variety of interesting places and shared helpful recommendations on local food and things to do. The whole experience felt both informative and fun. Highly recommended!

Great experience at the waterfalls!!

We had a great time at the waterfalls and enjoyed a relaxing swim in the pools. Our tour guide was Mr. pingpong who took great care of us. Lunch was at an elephant camp where we fed an elephant after lunch and got some great pictures. The day ended with a scenic cruise down the Mekong river back to Luang Prabang with a stop at two caves full of Buddhas. We enjoyed a nice cold beer on the front deck on the way back. Too bad it was a bit cloudy and we couldn’t see the sun set but it was a great experience.
