the old city cores called Kaptol and Gradec. In the 17th century the square was called Harmica, and it was used as a marketplace for the entire town. Today it's the heart of
the city and most of the major events in Zagreb happen at Ban Jelačić Square.

Ivan is an excellent tour...
Published on May, 2025
Ivan is an excellent tour guide—very kind, funny, and knowledgable. You never know what experience you might have on these kinds of tours, but I was so glad I booked this one. The wines were all whites, which made me happy, and all very good. It was perfect to have a walking/history tour with stops for food and drinks along the way.
Great food tour - unclear starting location

Excellent combination of great food, sightseeing, and introduction to true Zagreb culture! Our guide was fantastic! I do wish it would have been clearer that we were meeting at the statue, but once we started, all was wonderful!
Fantastic experience

Our guide Ivan was personable and informative as well as fun to spend time with. His knowledge of history is impressive and his passion for his city is contagious. This experience helped us to get well oriented on our first day in Zagreb. Restaurant choices, food and beverages were delicious. We arrived hungry as directed and we were stuffed by the end!

Fun and Yummy Tour With Marin
Published on Oct, 2024
Great tour with opportunity to try a variety of food and wine. Everything was delicious. Marin was a wonderful guide. He covered a lot of topics and was enthusiastic about sharing his city. Only suggestion is that our group would have liked him to share the meals with us and visit while we ate and drank.

Marron was a very knowledgeable guide & we enjoyed the food and wine too. Although there was much walking he did pay attention to slow walkers.
