We woke up to rain and wondered if the tour would go ahead. Luckily it did! The weather had been hot and humid and yes, we got really wet as the rain come down and the waves crashed over the bow of the boat. We did not dissolve! It was a much better alternative than baking under the sun:) Pros: - good organization upon arrival at 7:30 AM by taxi and tour left on time around 8:00. Were given a number to listen for to board the boat as there were other tours going out at the same time - crew was great and very attentive - super snorkelling with so many wonderfully coloured fish swimming around us in the sheltered bay - we paid for photographs and were glad we did. We could relax and enjoy the experience instead of wondering if our phones would take good pics - Yelapa is a lovely little village and so tranquil. We were last there in 2007 when mules were used to transport food and goods. We were rather sad to see that quad bikes are used now. - we hiked up to the waterfall and wore running shoes which worked well. It is not a long hike but is uphill on cobblestones which may be difficult for some visitors. I would not suggest wearing flip flops as some people chose to. The waterfall was cold and refreshing and worth going under for a dip The history of Yelapa is well worth checking out. I hope that the indigenous owners are able to hold on to their land and do not decide to sell or lease to foreign developers as has happened in the Puerto Vallarta area over the years. - kayaking was fun at Majahuitas beach. Lovely sand is great to walk in and the water was absolutely wonderful to sink into. The BBQ lunch was tasty and it was pleasant sitting out under the tents at picnic tables to relax - the ride back to land was hilarious. I think Mawi (spelling?) was the name of the staff member who seemed to be in charge. He and the crew put on the most hilarious show for us. The clothing and props were fabulous and the crew definitely deserved a good tip cons: none

Fantastic day trip!! Two beautiful areas to explore and enjoy. Yelapa falls was a pretty easy hike and walking the town area was interesting. We didn't eat until 1:30 so I would recommend a big breakfast before you head out on the boat. A small danish was offered but not filling. The bbq was very good. We highly recommend this trip!!

The crew was absolutely amazing, so attentive and friendly. The boat ride was fast and comfortable. Yelapa itself was nicer as you went further into the village. We had more than enough time at the waterfall, snorkeling, and for lunch. Snorkeling was easily our favorite part as the cove we went to was full of sea life including a pufferfish or two!

Absolutely recommend this tour! The short hike to the waterfall is beautiful. The beaches are wonderful. We enjoyed the snorkeling. Food was good. The tour guides were a blast and made the day so enjoyable. 10/10

Loved the boat ride and seeing PV from the water. Had a great time snorkeling with all the tropical fish. The hike back to the waterfall was a neat way to see the village of Yelapa and some of its people. The beach was a little confusing, but we still had a great time, but the second beach with the BBQ was by far our favorite. The drinks and entertainment on the boat made the long ride quite fun. I would highly recommend this as an affordable excursion for couples or families!
