Enjoy a 4hr, world class whale watch, including morning/afternoon tea and biscuits from the comfort of our purpose-built whale watching vessel, the AMAROO a fast stable 20m (66-foot) catamaran featuring modern facilities and carrying up-to 80 passengers. She boasts three spacious viewing decks meaning you are assured of an unobstructed, 360 degree view of all marine life. AMAROO has full facilities including a bar. Our experienced local Captain will provide informative commentary on the humpback whales, local area, Fraser Coast history and other marine life. Watch the gentle giants of the sea spy-hop, tail slap and breach. Hold your breath while courting adults ‘boat’ around the vessel playing hide and seek as they are attracted to the Amaroo's bright colours. Experience an up close and personal mugging as Whales move in to watch you, watching them. You won’t miss a minute of the action as the Whales lurch from the waves before your eyes. A 40-tonne migrating humpback whale just metres away from you is breathtaking! Whale watching from Hervey Bay is second to none, it truly is like no other place. We got so close to the whales and the captain stayed longer because they were putting on a great show

Excellent saw a few whales with their cubs . Just remember to take a good camera . Kal was awesome bar tender , and gave me some photos of the whales up close . I would suggest though lactose free milk for people who can’t drink milk . Very professional crew. Had a great time.

This was a great day. We had 2 playful whales only 15 minutes into our tour. There was plenty of room to move and the staff were very knowledgeable.

Excellent 4/5 hour tour with Boat Club Adventure Cruises with plenty of whale action spotted further out and culminating with whales swimming around and under the boat in the shallower water. Capt Phil and crew kept up good communication throughout and they respect the whales

A must do experience - at least once

This is a must do experience made more special by the crew of the MV Amaroo who did all in their power to give us a great whale watching afternoon. Their knowledge of the area and the marine life added to the tour. We were fortunate to see several pods and interact with them. We would definitely do this again.
