It was a very interesting workshop! Onigiri is a well known food in Japan and, even though it's quite simple to make, it was very interesting getting to know all the tricks that locals use to create the perfect shape and consistency. I will definetely use the learned techniques to prepare my bento at work.
I especially loved getting to know more about the history of this traditional food. I didn't know that it had such a long history behind.
Making the food didn't take a long time but it was definetely fun. The highlight though were the flavours! The picked ingredients are extremely high quality and you can definetely taste the difference between handmade onigiri and combini ones. The miso soup that accompanied the onigiri was also amazing. If I could add anything else to the experience, also making the miso soup would be it.
Other than the food, the teachers were also great! The prepared materials had english explenation and the some of the staff could speak english. So it's definetely a foreign friendly experience.
Overall was a 10/10 experience that I will definetely recommend, especially to foreign people looking forward to learn more about Japanese traditions, even the more simple ones, like the making of this handmade, cozy, family food!
