Overview

Discover Maison Champy’s history as well as it’s 15th century cellars, based in the heart of Beaune. Followed by a tasting of 5 of its emblematic wines. The « terroir tasting » is based on a tasting of 5 Village and Premier Cru wines (2 whites and 3 reds) 25€/pers The « prestige tasting » is based on a tasting of 5 of the most prestigious Premier and Grand Cru wines (2 whites and 3 reds) 55€/pers 18 years minimum required for tasting. Pets are not allowed.

Visit the 15th century cellars from Maison Champy. Formerly attached to the Jacobine Convent of Beaune, rue du Grenier à Sel. You will be able to admire the "pièces bourguignonnes" in which the legendary vintages are matured, as well as exceptional bottles carefully preserved for three centuries. You will also get an overview of the 3 centuries of history and heritage of Maison Champy, such as the columns of the Eiffel school dating from the construction of the 19th century winery or the tools of the famous Louis Pasteur.

We recently had the pleasure of taking a wine tour at Maison Champy, and it was an exceptional experience, largely thanks to our guide, Daniele. From start to finish, the tour was informative, engaging, and thoroughly enjoyable. A very interesting and informative tour, describing the history and classifications of wines in Beaune and the surrounding area with a tasting of 5 wines. Our guide, Daniele, was very welcoming and knowledgeable, explaining the fascinating history of Maison Champy and the origin and qualities of the wines. Highly recommended!
