Overview

The UNESCO registered Lavaux region is a site to behold. Dating back more than 1000 years, the region is renowned for not only its panoramic views of Lake Geneva but also its sought after wines. In this easy and fascinating afternoon walking tour**, you will discover the many stories, cultures and history of this region and sample wines from local winemakers. Hosted by Marc, a UNESCO World Heritage Guide, wine educator/sommelier and journalist. He will share many stories unknown stories from amongst the vines. Meeting points

We meet guests directly at the Bossiere train station on the edge of Lavaux and proceed through the vines to Grandvaux. A direct train to this station leaves from Lausanne main station.

Our easy wine hike meanders through the vineyards of western Lavaux region. You'll visit and hear stories of the region and stop off for hosted wine-tastings in unique locales.

Excellent outing! We had a fantastic time with Marc. He is knowledgeable and amiable. The wine was delicious and views are incredible. I highly recommend this tour.

Marc really individualized the experience... He was truly an expert in the wine world in the area and shared his knowledge enthusiastically.. One of the best tour guides I have had in a while.. at first I thought it was a bit pricey, but it was worth every penny! Stops at 2 wineries really gave us a flavor of the locals, who were all friendly and welcoming.. Charcuterie and beautiful sunset to end the tour was fantastic...

Fantastic wine tour

All the other positive reviews are right - this tour was the best part of our trip to Lausanne! Marc made the entire experience so fun and informative. He was incredibly helpful and communicative from the point of booking onwards, providing us with all the details of what we needed to know before the day and lots of recommendations for the rest of our trip in the local area. Marc is very knowledgeable about the local area and wine - you get so much more out of the experience than just tasting some wines (which were all fantastic by the way!). We ended up purchasing some from each of the wineries we visited. He was ready for any question, even contentious ones about certain kinds of wine :). We were on the trip for my birthday and he went out of his way to make it extra special as well, which was very appreciated! Highly recommend - don't hesitate to book!

Our tour guide Marc was amazing. He was so knowledgeable and engaging. We also got an exceptional weather day. The temperature was perfect for meandering through the vines to our ultimate spot for wine tasting. I would highly recommend this tour.
