Overview

The exceptional view of the Lavaux vineyards, the Riviera region and the Alps. Navigation on a steamboat. The spectacular arrival by boat at the Château de Chillon. Relaxation aboard the boat while enjoying the magnificent landscapes.

Meeting points

The landing stage is a 5-minute walk from the bus stop and the M2 "Ouchy Olympique" metro station. Head towards the lake and turn left along the small park.

End point

This activity ends back at the meeting point.

Itinerary

Consult the notice board to find the boat's departure pier. You can board directly (no need to exchange your ticket). The boat heads in the direction of the Vaudois Riviera, skirting the vineyards of Lavaux (UNESCO Heritage). In summer the boat goes directly to St Gingolph which is at the end of Lake Geneva before returning to Lausanne via Le Bouveret, Villeneuve, the Château de Chillon, Montreux and Vevey. In spring and autumn the boat will go alongside the Lavaux with several stops in the wine-growing villages of the region. It will then continue towards Vevey and Montreux to the Château de Chillon before returning by the same route to Lausanne. On the midday cruise it is possible to eat on board (reservation required). The meal is to be paid on site.

Great experience for tourist and locals. The beautiful boat, the views and great lunch and excellent service. Great food and excellent professional service!!! I live locally and enjoy a weekly cruise on the lovely lake boats. This past Saturday I had brunch on La Suisse, Roberto and Guillaume were our waiters; they were very accommodating, attentive and professional. Yesterday I had lunch with 3 guests on La Suisse. We were greeted by Roman, the Dining manager. He is a top notch, CGN professional. He seated us and ran the dining room with the care and attention to detail as a captain steers a ship. We were there for a 4 hour cruise and he was ever present and orchestrated his team in the most Swiss perfect, professional manner. He and our server, impeccably dressed, were so impressive. Two of my guest were elderly and handicapped, celebrating there 65th wedding anniversary and Paula our server made the experience so pleasurable for all of us.
