Family friendly via ferrata, ideal for beginners and experts! Via ferrata means “iron path” – a protected hiking route built of steel cable and metal steps fixed to the rocks. It’s a great way of exploring nature and it does not require previous mountaineering or climbing experience. It’s an exciting option for an active family holiday, accessible for children aged 7 and older. A certified mountain guide will watch over your safety, teach you basic via ferrata techniques and show you how to properly use the equipment. You will enjoy this activity, that’s for sure! It was an experience that was definitely worth it. The views are great. The via ferrata is for beginners. Our guide Romeo had constructive patience and we felt very secure all the way of the via ferrata. We highly recommend Sibenik Outdoor Adventure and this via ferrata experience.

After a short hike we descended down the canyon, all the way down to the river bed. We were met with some steep challenges, beautiful rock formations and awesome views. It doesn't matter how much experience you have or how scared of heights you are, our guide Romeo had our backs. This is coming from someone who has a fear of heights. We would not have been able to make it through without his help. Romeo took his time and patiently guided us through the hardest parts even when we were struggling. The safety equipment was all new and top notch. When times got tough, Romeo pulled out a Werther's Original candy, like some sort of mountaineering grandfather giving us not only some encouraging wisdom, but also the physical strength to carry on. If you want to go canyoning, this is the tour to book. It was an experience that was definitely worth it. It made us feel proud of ourselves. 10/10 Raghda & David

Amazing experience

We decided to do Via Ferrata Cikola and as it would be our first real experience with a via ferrata, we opted for a guided visit and it proved to be an excellent decision. The communication with Antonia from Sibenik Outdoor Adventure was smooth from the very beginning, she was very friendly and accommodating, instant positive vibes:) We had very nice weather when we did the ferrata and everything went really great thanks to our guide Romeo who was just the most patient and reassuring guide we could wish for! We felt very secure at all times, he knew the ferrata inside out and helped us through all the passages that at first seemed a bit difficult. All in all, we had great time and would highly recommend Sibenik Outdoor Adventure and the via ferrata experience in general!

Amazing experience

The trip was excellently organized. Exciting adventure alternated with beautiful views of the stunning canyon. Our guides, Anita and Romeo, are exceptional professionals who make it much easier for the participants of the excursion to access the more difficult places and thus enable anyone who wants to go through the canyon. I highly recommend this trip, especially accompanied by Anita and Romeo. Excellent experience.

Great experience with real mountain feeling

We had a great experience on this Via Ferrata! The two guides was very attentive, knowledgable and made sure we were comfortable all the way. We started at 1730, which gave us comfortable temperature and beautiful light during the trip. Just make sure to bring enough water! We were told to bring 2-3 liters each, and being used to hiking we brought 1-1,5 liters each, which really wasn’t enough. So do not make the mistake we did and underrestimate the need for water during such a warm hike. We are humbled that the guides were so nice and offered us some water and refreshments along the way. We reccomend this trip to anyone, if you are a beginner looking for a challenge, or if you are like us and have climbing or mountaineering experience and want to spend some time getting some exercise and mountain feeling while on holiday.
