Either chasing a clear sky or driving into back country’s best spots, this tour is for real Aurora Hunters! Our Aurora guides and photographers use the best weather reports, cameras, and lenses to capture stunning shots. These professional photos will be delivered to your email in 24 to 72 hours after your experience. Unlike others, there is no designated route for this safari and we only drive wherever the clear sky will be. By driving at least 100km to back country even at perfect clear skies, we never end up in light polluted areas for best viewing experience. Our catch rate was 86% during 2023-24 Winter and 92% so far in this season. Rovaniemi

You will be taken on a northern lights hunt with a professional photographer in a spacious van. (Comfort is important for road trips, as we travel at least 50 km—but usually around 120 km one way—to find the darkest spot.) A delicious Finnish Pulla (Dallas Roll) and berry tea are on the menu for the night to satisfy your hunger. Since our priority is finding a clear spot for the northern lights, we don’t set up a barbecue for unnecessary sausages. Based heavily on cloud coverage and solar wind data, you may visit 2 to 3 different viewpoints from the 300 we have mapped, discovered all across Finnish and Swedish Lapland. Some say it’s a nice road trip; others call it a true northern lights hunt. Due to weather conditions, we always send an information email to our guests by 16:00 at the latest on the day of the tour. Sometimes, we may need to depart 1 hour earlier or later to find better weather. Our tours usually start between 19:30 and 20:00 and end around 01:00 to 03:00.
