Charming, wonderful people running this tour.

We had such a great time. The couple that were running the boat and giving us background on the Skellig Islands were absolutely charming. It was everything we could have asked for. Great boat!

Excellent Visit To Skellig Michael Islands!

The weather was windy and a bit rainy, but still worth the trip to do an eco-tour with this company around the Skellig Michael islands. The boat was a comfortable ride and the narrative from the guide (forgive me I forgot her name) was perfect! The captain did an excellent job of navigating through the waves as comfortably as he could. Highly recommended experience!

Brilliant Tour

We booked our Skellig Michael tour with Aquaterra and couldn’t have been more thrilled with the experience. We were lucky to choose a brilliant sunny day, which made the stunning scenery even more breathtaking. The boat itself was brand new, state-of-the-art, and extremely comfortable, making the journey smooth and enjoyable from start to finish. Brendan and Elizabeth were absolutely fantastic—welcoming, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable about the area. Their insights added so much depth to the experience, and their passion for the Skelligs was truly contagious. The tour exceeded all of our expectations. With a maximum of twelve people on board, it felt personal and never crowded. Before departure, we were given life jackets and a clear health and safety briefing, which was reassuring. Audio commentary is available in five different languages, making the tour accessible to a wide range of visitors. The 90-minute journey offered unforgettable views of Skellig Michael, Little Skellig, and the surrounding coastline. It’s easy to see why this tour sells out quickly—so we highly recommend booking in advance. A heartfelt thank you to Brendan and Elizabeth for a truly unforgettable experience!

Good value and excellent staff

Staff were very friendly & provided a detailed audio tour. The boat was very comfortable and provided good shelter out of the wind. The skipper was obviously experienced and was able to get us quite close. I tend to be quite risk averse but felt very safe the whole time. Also compared to similar tours this one is a very reasonable price!

Second time round the Skelligs

Took a trip around the Skelligs with Kerry Aqua Terra in 2022 which was brilliant. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side and fog rolled in so we didn’t get to see the Skellig Islands in all their glory. We got the opportunity to go to south Kerry again in April 2024 and the Skelligs were again on my hit list. This time we got a perfect day with perfect weather. Great to see Brendan and Elizabeth’s friendly faces again and to see the beautiful new Skellig bounty boat. Boat is next level in terms of comfort and is covered which mean rain or shine the trip can go ahead. They have also added enhance audio since my last trip and it’s available in multiple languages which is amazing. Check Kerry Aqua Terra out if you want to really see south Kerry and what it has to offer. Total journey is around 2 (ish) hours and time we’ll spent.
