Tirta Empul means Holy Spring in Balinese. The temple compound consists of a petirtaan or bathing structure, famous for its holy spring water, where Balinese Hindus go to for ritual purification. The temple pond has a spring which gives out fresh water regularly, which Balinese Hindus consider to be holy or amritha. In the Temple you can see how Balinese people doing a holy blessing.

We had a lovely time with our driver Adhi. He was very helpful and accomodating. We saw some beautiful views at the rice terrace and the temple. The monkey forest was also very beautiful and the monkeys, especially the baby ones were very cute. The coffee plantation was also very nice and we got to taste all of the teas and coffees which were delicious. Overall we had a great time even in rainy weather.

My husband and I had a wonderful day trip to Ubud with Yansen. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and made sure we were comfortable throughout the day. Despite the rainy weather, he came well-prepared with umbrellas, which was a thoughtful touch. Yansen was also very patient, allowing us to take our time at each stop.
