Overview

The Tully River hosted the International Rafting Federation’s 2019 World Rafting Championships. This world class river provides a pinnacle rafting experience, with over 40 rapids ripping down through the stunning rainforest gorge surrounds. Classified as a Grade 4/5 river, the Tully provides one hell of a wild ride which ticks all the boxes for those seeking the ultimate Australian rafting adventure! We have two Tully River itineraries, check them out below, which are exactly the same except for departure times. The Tully River is a Hydro River and we’re informed on water release, which determines when we run.

    The Tully River carves it's way through the spectacular Tully Gorge, swirling waters surge over and around giant granite boulders surrounded by towering trees, climbing palms and thick rainforest which has dominated this landscape for a thousand years.

A great day full of action

Thanks again for this fantastic experience! We really enjoyed the rafting with our crew and our guide Paul. It was our first time rafting and we were really well instructed. The currents were surprisingly strong but we never felt unsafe und it was a lot of fun. We highly recommend the Tully river rafting

Great time on the Tully river, would highly recommend. Our team leader Paul was Extremely knowledgeable of the rivers and very thorough with the safety briefing. We never fell from the boat once!

Amazing Day with an Amazing Guide - Paul

We were lucky enough to have Paul as our guide for the Tully River White Water Rafting. We all had the best day, and it was a definite highlight of our trip up the East Coast of Australia. Some of our group members were initially a bit apprehensive about the activity, however with Paul’s amazing guidance and encouragement, we were all soon paddling down the rapids and smiling the whole way! We were even lucky enough to spot a Cassowary! Thank you Paul for such an incredible day!
