A really great Halong Bay cruise to Bai Tu Lan. The boat was tip top, the staff were all brilliant, the food was yummy and we saw all the best bits! Our fantastic cruise guide, Ha, made everything great fun ….. from kayaking past the fishing village to the squid fishing and sunrise tai chi session. This cruise is not to be missed!

The entire trip was seamlessly organised from start to finish—starting with an easy booking process, smooth pick-up, and getting onto the boat was hassle free. Our guide, Tim, was excellent, providing clear and informative details about the schedule, meeting points, and what to expect throughout the day. The boat itself, along with the room, was absolutely pristine and felt luxurious. The food onboard was really good, with a buffet for breakfast and lunch, followed by a set-menu dinner that gave us the chance to try a variety of local dishes. Throughout the day we were kept thoroughly entertained with a range of excursions, including visits to caves, a beach trip, a scenic viewpoint, and kayaking. On top of that, there were fun, smaller activities like a cooking lesson and squid fishing. Really recommend this trip if you want to see Ha Long however it was understandably quite busy therefore if we did it again we would go to one of the other bays.

Chien met us when bus dropped us off and we immediately felt the hospitality. He gave us all our information and walked us over to the waiting area where we waited for them to take us to the ship. They explained everything very clearly and chopped it up with us a little bit while we waited. They had a welcoming party waive us in when the shuttle boat arrived at the actual cruise ship. Our room was quaint but the toilet was a little tight as I almost had my head against the wall when sitting down. Wifi is spotty but they have enough activities for you that you won't need it much. The buffet style lunch was decent and had a few items that were really good. The noodle soup was packed with flavor. One of the items were the grilled shrimp which I'm a sucker for. It's the ones where you don't have to peel the shell and can just eat it whole, including the head. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. They were there at every moment making sure all our needs were taken care of. Hai-Anh also took great care of us and chatting with us throughout our trip. She was very friendly and we had some nice conversations about her work. She spoke very good English was helpful. We were even able to hang out with the staff for a bit and got to know them and they were super friendly. Special shout-outs to Chien the manager and Hai-Anh for taking great care of us.

We knew that Ha Long Bay is beautiful, but what made this trip special was the people who provided this trip. From the time of booking to the time of farewell, my husband and I enjoyed every minute of it. Wanted to give special thanks to Jessica who took care of our booking. We had some issues with the original room assignment, but she resolved it quickly for us. The tour manager Tim was helpful and provided a lot of valuable information during all the activities. And the crew members were welcoming and kind. The boat was well equipped and clean. And our room was absolutely beautiful. Can’t say enough to express our appreciation to everyone involved.
