Our Taste Of Africa is offered in 2 of the most Afro-cosmopolitan areas in Joburg rich in African cuisine.
Yeoville (3pm)-one of the most diverse suburbs in South Africa, known for being highly Afro-cosmopolitan with many African nationals found in one square mile and a rich history due to the migration into South Africa.
Maboneng-(12pm & 5pm ) a new suburb in Johannesburg which is home to Art, Culture,graffiti and a variety of African foods
Both these areas offer great experiences when it comes to african cuisine.Our Taste of Africa experience will give you a taste of the continent with no visa requirements or expensive flights.
The experience will offer guests the ability to try a variety of different African foods from

- Zimbabwean
- Congolese
Each food tasting will include at least 4 dishes we will be trying on the day.
You can also include African beer tasting with your booking to enjoy the beers on the continent.

Excellent walking tour of Maboneng and a variety of samplings of African cuisine

Excellent tour of Maboneng’s neighborhood and art, along with tasting 4 different types of cuisine. Note that the description doesn’t make it clear, but there will be quite a bit of walking during the tour (which I thoroughly enjoyed). The restaurants were not fancy but provided simple, home-cooked meals and I enjoyed the variety. Although I wasn’t a big fan of one of them (I think it was Zimbabwe), the others were tasty and filling - make sure you measure yourself at each meal.

Great tour guides they were knowledgeable and personable! The food was top tier! We were not disappointed. I didn’t realize that this tour included a maboneng art tour. That was a great component.

We went for the food tour with Eunice and Murendeni and we had a great time! Their mix of humour and knowledge was perfect, and we saw many great places and were told interesting stories. The food was amazing, and we highly reccomend this tour to everyone wanting to try different and unique foods, aswell as exploring a cool part of Jburg!

This is a great tour to try different food from many African countries. Our Guide Murnendeni was great in explaining everything we tried. All was delicious. Would definitely recommend this to any adventurous foodies out there!
