If you book the fast train / bullet train option, you will enjoy an exciting 30-minute train ride to Suzhou. On the way, spend few mins to discuss with the guide for a tailor-made itinerary. As exclusive private tour, your itinerary is fully flexible and can be 100% customized around you. Following is the sample itinerary and you are welcome to tell your guide if need make adjustment during the tour.

    Upon arrival, visit one of the top four famous gardens in China-the Humble Administrator’s garden ,listed in the UNESCO World Heritage, immerse yourself in the charming and elegance of the ancient Chinese garden designed with the unique Taihu rockeries, delicate pavilions, ponds , beautiful flowers, lush greens ,150 Bonsais while learning the interesting history, culture, custom from your guide. If you prefer a more intimate garden, you could substitute to the other garden such as Master of Nets Garden, Lingering Garden, Lion Forest Garden etc.

Off the boat, hop on to China No.1 ancient street-Shantang street (Free entry) ,enjoy the dynamic cultural streets full of interesting arts, crafts, eateries while walking cross the “Fortune Bridge”, see ancient city wall and learn the loal custom, history from your expert guide. As mentioned, the itinerary can be fully customized, if you prefer, you could also substitute the above-mentioned sites to the following other sites: 1) Panmen Scenic area; 2) Museums: Suzhou Museum, Suzhou Silk Museum, Garden Museum of Suzhou; 3)Temple: Hanshan Temple, Xiyuan Temple etc. After the wonderful excursion, you will travel back to Shanghai with the convenient drop off at your downtown Shanghai hotel or other downtown area as per your requests.

1 Day brought us closer to the Chinese ppl living and thinking

This trip was a good choice to make! Our guide Annie was great, direct and she spoke well and understandable English. She knew a lot about Chinese culture and history. She could answer any of our additional questions like Japanese and Chinese art differences etc. By the end of the day we could get closer to the Chinese living and thinking. Wish we could spend more days with her at different cities but unfortunately we was just traveling by and China could not stay more.

Taking a tour with Shirley is like going to visit an old friend you never knew you had… She takes the time to listen to what is important to you, is a wealth of knowledge, and really tries to get to know you while sharing all about her home, Shanghai. We had 2 tours already booked and were lucky enough to have Shirley for both tours (we loved taking tours with Shirley so much we booked a custom tour for our last free day!) it was a VIP tour and we felt every bit of being treated like a VIP from beginning to end. Food choice was spot on, she took pictures for us (& pointed out good spots & times to take them too), let us know what was worth our time and energy to see, and most of all was always in a great mood and happy to be spending time with us. Overall, well worth the money and I would even say a bargain given the overall experience. Car service is excellent, Sunny is very easy to deal with and very responsive, and with Shirley as your guide will make this tour a once in a lifetime experience!!!
