Handa is known for producing essential fermented condiments for Japanese cuisine, including vinegar, miso, soy sauce, sake, and mirin.
This tour focuses on "Vinegar and Sushi."
You can't discuss the history of nigiri sushi, which is loved worldwide, without mentioning Handa's "kasu vinegar." At the MIZKAN MUSEUM, you can learn all about the history of vinegar and sushi.
After gaining some insights, you'll have the opportunity to make your own nigiri sushi for lunch. A talented chef from a local sushi shop—run by a fishmonger with four market licenses on the Chita Peninsula—will guide you through the process. You'll have access to fresh fish even quicker than at the market!
Along with sushi-making, you'll also receive detailed information about the local fish caught in this area.
