  • Table Mountain (Pass By)

    Travelers will glide by Table Mountain as they depart Cape Town by steam train, able to see the massive mountain in all its glory in the morning, and evening light. Train ride will take 7 hours going to Elgin railwamarket and going back.

  • Sir Lowry's Pass (Pass By)

    The majestic Sir Lowry's Pass stretches to 417 m above sea level; no easy climb by train. Arriving at the peak, guests are treated to incredible scenery and panoramic views of False Bay, Cape Town and Table Mountain in the distance.

  • Elgin Railway Market

    The Steampunk, Art-Deco "Elgin Railway Market" boasts a variety of local food, beverage and craft offerings immersed in a truly one-of-a-kind setting. Kept warm by roaring fires in winter, and cooled by gigantic fans in summer.

Wonderful experience, we spent a great day, really nice staff, fantastic views. It was funny and interesting. The market is also a nice place to have lunch and feel the atmosphere.

This is just a superb day out. The best value trip in Capetown. An absolute must and such lovely staff. The best bar in the world with the best views. Don’t hesitate, book it. I promise you that you will love it. There is a reason it only gets 5* reviews, it’s fabulous.

Fun train ride to the Elgin Market. Passed through some really nice areas along the way with stunning views, like Strand. The crew provided superb service and made us feel very welcoming. Would definitely consider doing this again. Highly recommend this to anyone who wants spend a day on a train and visit a lovely market for drinks, food, and shopping.

It was well worth the money—a really unique experience. The trip was exceptionally well organized, everything went smoothly, and the staff was top-notch. You get to see some amazing views of CT and its surroundings. Then, the Elgin market is a stunning spot—amazing decor, really great food and drink, and some shopping. I would recommend the bar carriage on the train for the best seating.
