Overview

This three-hour adventure on a a beautiful modern-day sailboat is limited to just 6 people, allowing you a comfortable, semi-private experience (or, grab five friends and fill up the whole boat!). Sit back, relax and enjoy the complimentary beer, soft drinks and snacks as you soak in the warm sun and Bay sights. Departure times vary throughout the year. Guest must contact Sail San Diego after purchase for the exact departure time. Please note this activity does require a minimum of 3 guests total in order to sail. If members in your group are booking their tickets separately, please call Sail San Diego so they can ensure you're on the same boat. If they don't know ahead of time, you may be seated on separate boats!

PLASE NOTE: A physical boarding pass will be required to board your assigned sailboat. Your boarding pass will be provided at our Sail San Diego office. You can find us directly across the road from the Brigantine Restaurant (a few doors down from Paragon Deli, underneath Eye Candy beauty salon).

    Whether you’re on vacation, celebrating a special occasion or just looking to take advantage of a beautiful Southern California day, this small-group sailing trip in San Diego is a great way to spend time on the water with your loved one or a group of friends. Set sail on a 3-hour daytime adventure in San Diego Harbor. Your captain will ensure that you have the best possible time on the water. As you admire the views, enjoy the complimentary beer, soft drinks and snacks. If you get chilly, grab one of the provided blankets, or purchase a jacket or sweater at their store. If the sun is too bright, you can purchase sunscreen, sunglasses and hats at check-in. And use the provided binoculars to admire the coastline or look for wildlife! You can even stream your own music to the boat’s Bluetooth speakers. Please note: The boat is limited to six (6) passengers. To make it a private adventure, book all six spaces and bring along five friends!

    Sail San Diego's private marina is in the Shelter Island area of Point Loma. We also will pass by the actual Point Loma lighthouses during your sailing trip.

  • Coronado Bridge (Pass By)

    You'll get to see the Coronado Bridge on the water, aboard a 40-foot luxury sailing yacht.

  • Coronado Island (Pass By)

    We always sail past the Coronado "North" Island.

  • USS Midway Museum (Pass By)

    We always aim to sail past the USS Midway so you get to experience it from another point of view.

  • Seaport Village (Pass By)

    Some of our sailing day trips pass by Seaport Village. Ask your captain.

  • San Diego Convention Center (Pass By)

    Some of our sails go by the San Diego Convention Center. Ask your captain.

Great private sailing trip with beautiful views and professional staff and crew

Amazing trip with captain Dave! We had 12 people on the sea la vie boat and it was perfect for a relaxed, beautiful afternoon sailing around San Diego. The provided drinks and snacks were great. We saw dolphins and sea lions. Very helpful crew and great value! Would do this again!

Great Afternoon Sail

Fun afternoon sailing and seeing San Diego sights from the water. Captain Stu is quite experienced and proficient at sailing the bay. There was one other couple onboard and the four of us had a very enjoyable three-hour tour. Highly recommend.

Sailing With Dolphins

We experienced the beautiful San Diego Bay with Captain Dave sailing by sea lions, lighthouse, military boats, Midway aircraft carrier museum and more. We even saw dolphin training exercises with them leaping up out of the water. Captain Dave personalized the experience and was very knowledgeable sharing information along the way to entertain us. It was a great afternoon of sailing and we can’t wait to do it again!
