We are delighted to offer this 'Oxford Highlights' tour to experience the very best of Oxford. Meet at Christ Church memorial gardens for this comprehensive walking tour of the university and see many of the famous colleges and university buildings. Find out how Oxford works and why it is here. Learn about the many famous people who have studied here. This tour represents outstanding value for money as we keep our groups small in size - this allows you to ask questions and interact and for the guide to tune into particular interests. NOTE; 4 pax required to be able to operate this tour and we reserve the right to cancel.

Meeting Point

On St Aldates, you will see the entrance into Christ Church meadows. We meet there at the gates, on St Aldates and directly opposite Cafe Independent.

What To Expect

1. Christ Church This is a small group tour and half the size of many other tours in Oxford. Start the tour here and admire the architecture of probably the most famous college in Oxford. Many tours do not see Christ Church (from the outside) and we believe this is an excellent place to start the tour and hear an orientation of how it all began. This also gives you an overview to visit Christ Church independently in the afternoon should you wish. 10 minutes

2. Christ Church Meadow Stroll through the meadows with your qualified guides, here we are surrounded by the two rivers - The Thames and the Cherwell. View the Meadow Buildings at Christ Church. 5 minutes

3. University Church of St. Mary the Virgin Hear how important this church is in the history of Oxford. 5 minutes

4. Radcliffe Camera Marvel at this iconic Oxford building located on Radcliffe Square. Your guide will tell you about the history of not only the Camera but the colleges that are also located in this area - Brasenose and All Souls. 10 minutes

5. Bodleian Library Walk through The Old School Quadrangle, admire The Tower of The Five Orders, see The Radcliffe Camera, go inside The Weston Library. The Bodleian Library has a deep and fascinating history and your qualified guide looks forward to telling you the history. 15 minutes

6. Sheldonian Theatre Designed by Sir Christopher Wren and the ceremonial hall of Oxford University 5 minutes

7. Clarendon Building Providing an entrance way to 'Oxford University' 2 minutes

8. Bridge of Sighs Linking two sides of Hertford College, this famous bridge cannot be missed when visiting Oxford 5 minutes
