    The Terrace House complex in Ephesus consist of luxurious residential villas located on the northern slope of BĂĽlbĂĽldaÄź hill next to curetes street and opposite of Hadrian temple.The excauation work of the houses began in 1960.The houses which were excauated are decatated with meticulous frescaes and mosaics waiting your visitors.

  • Meryemana (The Virgin Mary's House)

    Virgin Mary House is located on Bülbül Mountain, 9 km from Selçuk. Yuhanna is known to bring virgin Mary to Ephesus 4 or 6 years after the death of Jesus. In 1891, the Lazarist priests discovered that the house where Mary spent the last days of Mary was at the end of this research upon the dream of the German priest A. Kathathina Emerich. This event sheds light on a new world of invention in the Christian world. This structure was planned and then restored. The house is considered sacred by Muslims, Pope VI. After Paul's visit in 1967, the rituals are held every year on August 15, and these rituals attract great attention.

    In early A.D, Evangelist St. John lived in the Ephesus in order to spread Christianity and collect more followers to the way of Jesus. And, according to many sources, he died around Ephesus after he returned from exile in Patmos. And, buried on the southern slope of Ayosolug Hill by his students. Roman Emperor Justinian constructed one of the biggest Basilicas of Christianity in the 4th Century A.D over the burial of St. Jean the Evangelist!

    Temple of Artemis, also called Artemesium was one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The great temple was built by Croesus, king of Lydia, about 550 BCE and was rebuilt after being burned by a madman named Herostratus in 356 BCE. The Artemesium was famous not only for its great size, over 350 by 180 feet (about 110 by 55 metres), but also for the magnificent works of art that adorned it.

Ephesus was one of the tour i’ve been looking forward to. Tour was very informative and well explained properly by our Guide Mr Umut. We were able to skip the big crowd of people with our itinerary. Recommended if you have limited time in Ephesus from Cruise.

Umut was very accomadating and able to speed up the process smoothly. He is very knowledgeable on the places we visited. This is definitely one for the books! Do yourself a favor don’t book the ones offered by cruise. Book here as most likely you won’t get in line with a big crowd and ask for Umut!

The tour was organized. Mr Umut was very knowledgeable. He explained the history in such a way it was easy to understand for all of us. Due to time constraints we managed to see 3 places. Hopefully we have more time to see more places with Mr Umut in the future.

We booked late - the same morning of the Tour. Miss Gizem was super helpful as there had been a glitch with the booking thru Viator. She found a car & guide, Mr Bugra, who was also awesome, very knowledgeable & accommodating, and always checked if the pace of the tour was ok etc. We visited Ephesus, House of Mary, Basilica of St John / Selculk, Temple of Artimus, The tour / sights were spectacular. But what really made the experience so smooth etc was Miss Gizem and Mr Bugra. Thoroughly recommended this company for their helpfulness and integrity.
