    Your hosts will greet you in front of your cruise ship as soon as it docks and show you to a comfortable, air-conditioned bus. You will share the bus with other passengers from your cruise ship. After a relaxing, comfortable journey through the picturesque flatlands of East Germany, you will arrive in Berlin. Here there will be a private vehicle with a driver and a professional tour guide waiting for you. Your private tour of the city can be custom tailored to your exact specifications. You can make all the decisions what to visit, where to stop and where to spend your time. It is hands down the most flexible way to see the German capital.

  • Charlottenburg Palace (Pass By)

    Typically the tour begins at the Charlottenburg Palace. Following an introduction to the city given by your private tour guide, you will drive through the former British sector along the Kurfürstendamm, past the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church and the KaDeWe.

  • Reichstag Building (Pass By)

    You will then head to East Berlin, stopping for a photo opportunity at the Reichstag.

  • Brandenburg Gate (Pass By)

    Stroll through the famous Brandenburg Gate and nearby Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe. Admire the Tiergarten, the Victory Column, a Soviet memorial, as well as the Paris Square.

  • Memorial of the Berlin Wall (Pass By)

    Continue on to the site of Hitler’s bunker, through Potsdamer Platz to one of the few remaining pieces of the Berlin Wall before reaching the Topography of Terror.

  • Checkpoint Charlie (Pass By)

    Next is your chance to pass through Checkpoint Charlie – the most famous crossing point between East and West Berlin during the Cold War - and visit the former US sector.

  • Gendarmenmarkt (Pass By)

    After some free time for lunch (not included in the tour price), your tour will continue through the former Soviet sector of East Berlin to visit the spectacular Gendarmenmarkt and Bebelplatz – famous as the ‘Nazi Book Burning Square’. You will also have a chance to visit Berlin’s historic former Royal Quarter – the beautiful boulevard of Unter den Linden, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Museum Island, the Berlin Cathedral, and Alexanderplatz with its iconic TV Tower.

  • Alexanderplatz (Pass By)

    Time permitting you might also drive past the longest remaining stretch of the Berlin Wall with its world-famous graffiti – the East Side Gallery or stop in the former Jewish Quarter. At the end of your Berlin tour, say goodbye to your tour guide, board the shared bus, and be whisked off in comfort back to your cruise ship.

  • The route of the tour and time spent in Berlin is subject to ship’s docking times, traffic, special events and any other circumstances out of our control. Please note we will not be able to provide a refund if the touring time has to be shortened because of any of the above.

Perfect Shore Excursion to Berlin

This was the perfect excursion from Warnemunde port to Berlin. We were promptly picked up at the cruise terminal and traveled to Berlin in a comfortable passenger bus along with 25 other guests to 40 seats, so there was plenty of room to spread out. It is a three-hour drive to Berlin, but we had a bathroom stop both ways. Once in Berlin, we separated from the group tour and met our guide, Daniela. We had our own driver as well. We were able to see all of the important sites with a very informative guide. Daniela catered the tour to our desires perfectly. We were returned back to the cruise ship with time to spare. I would highly recommend this tour.
