Overview

Enter a diver’s paradise on this 3 to 4-hour Scuba diving beginner's session in Costa Adeje. Tenerife’s warm, calm waters and year-round diving make it the perfect spot for your first dive. Swim in an area known for tropical fish, rays, and sea turtles. Your course includes a safety briefing, shallow-water practice of some simple skills, and a roughly 45-minute open water dive to a maximum depth of 39 feet (12 meters). Your personal dive instructor will remain close by your side throughout the course.

The address is: Calle Valencia 38660 Adeje - Tenerife. Calle Valencia is a dead end street that leads down to the sea. The diving club Ocean Trek is located at the end of the street behind the turning circle at a guarded parking lot below a white / red lighthouse.

Itinerary

Start your scuba diving adventure with pick-up from your South Tenerife hotel and relax on the journey to the Ocean Trek dive school in Costa Adeje. After meeting with your guide, zip up your wetsuit, strap on your oxygen tank and head out into shallow waters to begin your lesson. With an expert instructor at your side, learn basic diving techniques and safety maneuvers, including cleaning your mask and how to descend and ascend. Once you feel ready, it’s time to set sail for the open seas and try out your newfound skills for real. Accompanied by your instructor, you’ll dive up to 39 feet (12 meters) and swim amid an array of colorful corals and exotic fish. If you’re lucky, you might even spot rays and sea turtles during your 45-minute dive. Back on dry land, your tour ends with a drop-off at your hotel. Please plan your dive so that you are not allowed to fly within 12 hours of your dive.

I have always wanted to try scuba diving so I took the plunge and found a beginner session with Ocean Trek. I was lucky enough to have a private dive with Erion who explained everything, made me feel at ease and made my first dive the best possible experience and I already can’t wait to do it again! Also joining us on the dive was Matti and he took some amazing pictures so I can look back on this experience. I would 100% recommend this centre to anyone wanting to try a dive who might be a little nervous as both Erion and Matti made me feel safe while continuing to have fun! Thank you Ocean Trek

It was a wonderful experience! The instructors were very professional, friendly and fun to be with. As complete beginners we quickly felt at ease in the ocean with their guidance and under their watchful eye. Warmly recommended!

Fantastic Diving Experience

We were picked up from our hotel very punctually and taken to the dive school where we underwent our initial training and donned the equipment. This really built confidence. The instructors for our family group of three were Erion and Tim and we had their undivided attention throughout the session. We then went to the waterside where we did more training in shallow sea. Dad was offered a prescription mask, but in the end he felt he didn't need it. All of this really prepared us for the deep water experience, which was fabulous. We were taught tricks for maximising our experience in the water. During this time we saw a wide range of fish in the sea. We had one instructor in the water and one on the top to ensure everything was in order at all times. This made us feel safe and confident. Photos are available for purchase. This is a highly recommended experience. Excellent service and brilliant value for money. Our daughter is now fired up to do a lot more of this.

Superb Experience, worth every penny

We are just back from our beginners dive experience this morning. It was a brilliant experience, fun, unique, educational, safe and so interesting. My wife, myself and our 10 yr old daughter were very well looked after from the minute the company picked us up from our apartment to the minute they dropped us off there again. Huge thanks to Matteus and especially Erion who made us feel so safe throughout, going at our pace and never hurrying us. Very safety conscious throughout, we were able to relax and enjoy the views at ease. My daughter absolutely loved it and it has been the highlight of our holiday. Worth every penny!
