Overview

Cartagena's rich tradition of music and dance is interwoven into the fabric of life on Colombia's Caribbean coast. As well as sightseeing in the old city, sampling ceviche and cruising through the Rosario Islands, dancing simply must feature in BIG FAT CAPITALS on your holiday hit list. Interacting with Cartagena culture with our feet is a whole lot more satisfying than reading it in a book, that is why, you will get in this tour a combination of dance lessons (so you learn how to hit the dance floor), alcoholic drinks in bars (so you let yourself relax into a more social experience), and the best live salsa music in town in the Salsa House in Cartagena. Known as ¨El Manicomio de la Salsa¨ because is the meeting point for salsa lovers including musicians and dancers.

Itinerary

Our tour starts always at 7 pm at our studio Crazy Salsa. You will learn how to dance, while refreshing yourself with a delicious welcome Cocktail. After the class you will go for a bar hopping were you will put into practice all your salsa moves (alcoholic beberages included). After having a nice experience through the night life in the heart of Cartagena´s historic downtown, you´ll get back to Crazy Salsa Bar, where you will be welcome with a refreshing cocktail, and you´ll get the chance to meet fellow dancers in it´s social dance party with the best live music in town. Perfect introduction to the salsa night life in Cartagena and to a new passion for life. Cheers!

Worth it!

Great class, versatile, adapted to everyone's learning styles and levels. The class was upstais at the Babel school location. I wore comfortable shoes that I could both dance and walk in later. Water is provided, but you may water to bring more. We felt very safe the whole journey. The club experience afterward was very interactive. You can go at your own pace if you choose, I recommend getting on the dance floor! We met great people and had an amazing time! At the end of the evening, we opted to take an Uber back to the hotel. I was exhausted from all the fun!

Best Salsa Night EVER!

This was one of the best salsa nights I've ever experienced! The lesson was for beginners but I'm more intermediate level, however, it was still fun. Our first bar was a little on the quiet side, no dancing. But once we all expressed to Esteban we wanted to go somewhere were it's dancing everywhere and he showed up! He took us to Cafe Havana and we danced ALL night! Esteban is the best tour guide, he has the best energy and is the friendliest person to hang out with. Highly recommend for anyone who is seeking the best Salsa Night of your Life!!

It was just me but had an awesome time learning how to salsa in the studio and at the bars with the instructor, she was amazing.

We booked this salsa tour to prepare us for an upcoming wedding. Although we had no prior dance experience, Esteban is a great beginner friendly teacher and he’s also a talented dancer. We started the tour in a dance studio to learn some basic moves on our own and with a dance partner, then we took it to a salsa bar (+ some mojitos) to put our moves to the test. Highly recommend this tour if you’re new to salsa dancing!
