Overview

In autumn, salmon and trout come back to the rivers where they were born after spending years traversing the oceans of the northern hemisphere. While walking and watching the fish as they swim upstream and sacrifice their lives to spawn, we will introduce you to the important roles they play in the natural world of Shiretoko.

Pickup Details

You can choose the meeting place from three places, your hotel, Roadside Rest Area Utoro Shirietoku, or Shiretoko nature center. If you chose your hotel, please wait in the lobby of your hotel. If you chose Roadside Rest Area, please wait in front of the restroom(left-hand side of the building). If you choose Shiretoko nature center, please wait at the entrance of the building. We will pick you up at the lobby of your accommodation or the Roadside Rest Area, Utoro Shirietoku. (Utoro area only) The meeting time is different depending on the meeting place you requested. For a detailed meeting time, please confirm below.
