    Røvær is an island group in Haugesund Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The islands lie off the mainland shore about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) northwest of the town of Haugesund. The 1.4-square-kilometre (0.54 sq mi) Røvær islands have about one hundred permanent residents (2014), as well as seasonal residents and visitors who rent vacation homes, stay at Røvær Seahouse (Røvær Sjøhus) or the newer Røvær Culture Hotel (Røvær Kulturhotell). The permanent residents who are not retired support themselves principally through farming, fishing, employment at the express boat service, teaching at the island's local school, working at the salmon fish farm, or by commuting to work on the mainland. During World War II, the island was occupied by German military forces, and there is still a concrete pillbox on Varden, the island's highest point.

    Feøy is a small island group in Karmøy municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The 1.3-square-kilometre (0.50 sq mi) island group lies west of the town of Haugesund and the island of Karmøy, southeast of the islands of Røvær, and northeast of the island of Utsira. The island has 49 permanent residents, plus a number of seasonal residents and visitors who rent vacation homes. The permanent residents who are not retired support themselves either through sheep farming, fishing, or by commuting to jobs on the mainland. There is an old wharf on Feøy that was converted into the Feøy Brygge, a small meeting house and restaurant that caters meetings and parties. During World War II, the Germans occupied the small island with troops because the area was an organizing site for resistance workers moving between Norway and Britain.

Rib ride/ fun times

We recently visited Haugesund and visited these guys, to say they were welcoming is an understatement. They were professional,knowledgeable, entertaining and more importantly locals. I would recommend a trip on the rib ride any time but be prepared for some air time on the waves and a few heavy bumps on the way down. We had a great tour of the inlets/islands and even saw a sea eagle. Obviously got a little wet ,part of the fun but suits and goggles provided did there job. Holding on to tight for any wave riding pics

What an exhilarating experience! Our guide was very thorough with preparations and the briefing, before the start of a great tour. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and took us to some beautiful spots in the boat. Out in the North Sea was bumpy, as to be expected, but we always felt safe. We were in the boat for just over an hour and saw lots of wildlife, including an eagle! We were met by the cruise ship which was just a short walk to the boat house. We’d looked at booking a similar experience directly with the cruise but this was far better value for money. We’d definitely recommend.

WHAT A THRILL! oh my gosh this was the best experience ever and we had such an amazing time with the team! I felt so so safe in the hands of the captain and I would do this tour a thousand times over if I could. I’d come back to Haugesund just for this!

Brilliant Rib tour ,Vidar (Grandad) was a great tour guide stopping off at little islands and telling us what happens there to all the wild life .Very passionate about his community and I don't blame him as it was stunning.
