Immersive tour!

After arriving in Stavanger, this tour was our first activity to immerse ourselves in the history and culture of the city. With the help of our guide Andrea, we discovered what makes Stavanger a very special place and we really appreciated it.

We had a great time on this tour and I think we ran out of time to explore this city. I wish we had spent at least 4 days instead of 2 so we could have done some day trips and other activities. We learned a lot about Stavanger on this tour and we are very grateful to our guide.

Our lovely guide Andrea showed us around the city in a very interesting way. We visited part of the city center as well as historical monuments including the cathedral. The city center is small so walking was not a problem for my family. Stavanger should be a more touristic place, its beauty is incredible, especially its architecture is what stands out the most. I strongly believe that this city is underrated.

Visiting Stavanger Cathedral was a highlight, its blend of Romanesque and Gothic architecture tells a story of centuries past, and stepping inside felt like traveling back in time. I joined Andrea’s walking tour in Stavanger, and it was very interesting. We visited Stavanger Cathedral and Andrea explained its history. She also took us to Øvre Holmegate, a street with many colorful houses and small shops. Walking through Gamle Stavanger was nice because we saw many old white wooden houses and learned about the past. At the end, we stopped by the harbor, and Andrea talked about how Stavanger became important for the oil industry.
