Overview

Visit two ChimĂş archeological sites and the coastal village of Huanchaco on this combo tour from Trujillo with a knowledgeable guide. Start at the Temple of the Dragon (also known as the Temple of the Rainbow), an adobe pyramid that features beautiful frieze murals. Then tour the biggest ancient city in South America, former ChimĂş capital and a UNESCO World Heritage site, Chan Chan. Clara our guide was lovely, with passion and in depth knowledge of Trujillo and the Chimu people. Only downside was no port pick up or drop off for cruises, so suggest you pre book a taxi from port to town. It's about 45 mins, and should be 15 to 20 dollars.
