Itinerary

Pachacamac Ruins

We will visit the Site Museum within the Pachacamac Sanctuary, where more than 290 registered pieces of various materials such as ceramics, wood, textiles, among others, are exhibited. One of the emblematic pieces of the museum is the “Idol of Pachacamac”. Continuing with our tour, we will visit the Aclawasi “Temple of the Virgins of the Sun”, a sacred site where women selected for their manual, culinary skills or physical beauty lived and worked, and who were at the service of the Inca empire. The Aclawasi of Pachacamac was one of the largest and most important on the coast. As soon as we visit the sacred precincts in the lower part of the sanctuary, we will head down an elevated ramp that will take us to the "Temple of the Sun", the jewel of Pachacamac. Finally we will border “The Temple of the Sun” or “Punchao kancha”, built of adobes and considered probably the largest temple on the entire coast, representing a great organizational effort for its construction.

Barranco

Let's explore the Emblematic Plaza de Barranco, this space was a tram station that directed its cars in two opposite directions: towards Lima and towards the resort of Chorrillos. It is a vital icon of the ravine, since in the summer season it was a mandatory destination for local and foreign bathers.

This was an outstanding tour of the older part of Callao early 1900’s buildings, the squares parks, Fortaleza del Real Felipe, La Punta Callao beach and park. Roxann , our guide and our driver Victor were outstanding. The air confirmed van was great after walking around the fort. History and art combined. Want to learn about Callao? This is the tour! Like Callao is not part of Lima. Roxann and Victor answered our questions and were very polite.
