Overview

Join local guides on a tour of St. Augustine's walled city featuring the city's 450 plus year history. This 90-minute, personally narrated tour occurs on the comfort and ease of an electric cart. This private tour is for 1 to 6 people. Your group will not be combined with other people. This tour is a detailed and education tour of historic St. Augustine. Focusing on the colonial walled city of St. Augustine, high lights of the tour include the Castillo de San Marcos, Flagler's Hotels and Churches, the Oldest House, the Plaza, and Aviles St. During the tour your guide will share the interesting and storied history of St. Augustine.

Meeting points

Pickup is in the rear (southern) parking lot of the Lightner Museum Between Cordova and Granada St. The parking lot has a fountain, a statue that looks similar to the Statue of Liberty. As we do not have a physical location, there is no signage.

End point

This activity ends back at the meeting point.

Great History of St Augustine

Dale does a great job telling the history of St Augustine. You can tell he’s very passionate about what he does. Love the private tour, it was so easy to understand and ask questions. He did not rush us on or off. We had a mix up with the date when I booked (totally my fault) but it was easily changed and I appreciated that. I would encourage everyone to book a private tour. Ask for Dale . Well worth the price.

I came to St. Augustine with two friends that I travel with all over the world. They have never been to Florida, and certainly not to St. Augustine. They did not know the history, the beauty, or the fun that we could have. They rate the history tour on the golf cart by Dale as the best of all the things we did in St. Augustine. I have to agree with them. He has a knack for bringing history alive, making us understand why it was important and how it fits to the rest of History. History. We are lucky that we found this great tour.
