Itinerary

Meet your guide in central Montpellier at 9:30am, then take a seat in your air-conditioned minivan for the 30-minute drive into the Languedoc countryside to begin your tour. Along the way, admire sweeping views over the vineyards and orchards for which this pretty corner of southern France is famous. During your 8-hour tour, visit a family-run olive oil estate and the famous Château Puech Haut winery. Enjoy tastings of the oils and wines in production, and gain insight into the flavors the Languedoc region’s locals love. Afterward, savor a delicious 3-course lunch in a local restaurant set near a beautiful lake (in season and weather permitting) or in one of the very good restaurants of the region. It is possible to swim in the lake, so bring your swim suit if you fancy a dip! In the afternoon delve into the Pic Saint-Loup region — where fertile vineyards flank the rolling hillsides. Visit two further wine estates with your guide and learn of the grape varietals thriving in the fertile soils. When your time in the Pic Saint-Loup region comes to an end, return in comfort to central Montpellier at around 5:30pm to conclude your tour.

So many positive things to say about this. Easy conversation with Carine discussing itineraries via email and agreeing a tour for 9 of us travelling to Montpellier to watch the rugby. Upon arrival I realised I had given the wrong date. Carine somehow managed to change things around (we had turned up a month early) and put on a fantastic day for us, I cannot thank her enough. The day itself was fantastic, stunning scenery, great wine and great food at lunch. There was flexibility in the agenda and we chose to go and admire some of the famous view points. The vineyards and wineries were beautiful and Carine was very knowledgable. This trip was work every penny. The customer service, quality and variety of establishments we visited and how smoothly the day was run.

Marc, our tour guide, was exceptional. There were five of us ranging in age from 18 to 65 and Marc made certain that we were all comfortable and well talked care of. As a wine maker himself, Marc provided us with information rarely received on a standard wine tour. The olive oil tour was charming, lunch was lovely and the wineries were excellent. Can’t wait to go back!
