Overview

A wine and food tour to Pic Saint Loup......private road trip with a local guide...... Enjoy and explore the Montpellier countryside. Off the beaten track !!!! i will drive you to an estate winery. There you will discover all their wine process, taste a line up of 6 wines, walk to a nice view........... then to my family house for a farm to table homemade meal prepared by my mother...... and finish by a glass of wine in a little quaintessential medieval village or a wine tasting in another winery .

Itinerary

Your professional guide will pick you up at your hotel or at a central place in Montpellier. Board your comfortable vehicle and start your 30-minutes drive to the vineyards. Follow the scenic routes and your local guide will talk about the Languedoc region wine history. Once you arrive to the wine estate, he will explain how the wine is produced there in Pic St Loup. Then, you will have the opportunity to have a tasting with different kinds of local wines. Your next stop is more about enjoying the wine and meet the owner as your guide will take you to his family home. Seat outside near the pleasant garden or in the comfortable leaving room and have an authentic meal made of farm products and cooked by his mother. If there is some time left, you will visit the medieval village for a 10 minutes walk. At the end of the visit, the guide will drive you back to Montpellier.

Bertrand, great guided tour in Mont Saint-Loup

Bertrand, our guide was on time to pick us up and out way to the vineyards he explained to us how things and winemaking in France.He is very knowgelable and interesting to hear all the information he could offered us. We enjoy drinking wine but now have a better understanding on wine making,different grapes used to make wines and also different recipes that need to be followed to pass certain conditions to label your wines. We had the chance to try a multiple of wines from the Reds,Rose and Whites. Totally optional but we purchased a few bottles to try them out again later. The trip there was also special going through multiple tiny villages. Bertrand brought us to his family home where his mother had prepared a very nice supper with a complementary bottle of wine. We went with our adult children and we all had a very good time and would defitely recommend this trip to anyone. Thanks again for the great evening Bertrand

Watch out. After this tour all others will pale in comparison. Bertrand makes the day. He is bilingual, comfortable, funny and knowledgeable. The tasting was great but the sweet spot is his mother’s lunch. A diverse and tasty meal in a lovely setting. Conversation over lunch with locals and foreigners was a treat. Thanks to all
