Overview

This privately guided, exclusive tour from Bath enables you to explore two of England's most popular visitor attractions in one memorable day. Visit Stonehenge, the greatest and most iconic marvel of prehistoric Britain. Explore the Stonehenge landscape at leisure and discover more about the Bronze Age burial mounds located nearby. Visit Salisbury Cathedral and be inspired by the scale and grandeur of this magnificent Gothic masterpiece. Thereafter visit the inspirational 1215 Magna Carta Exhibition. Old Sarum is one of the most historically important sites in southern England. The site used to include a royal castle and a cathedral within an Iron Age fortification. Please note that this last visit is only feasible if time permits.

    Stonehenge is the greatest and most iconic marvel of prehistoric Britain and a Unesco World Heritage Site. Travel back in time and discover what inspired stone age people to start erecting this monument 4,500 years ago. Upon arrival your guide will offer you an entertaining and informative privately guided tour of this unique Stone Circle and you will learn about recent archaeological discoveries. Stonehenge still retains its power and sense of wonder over all those who gather here. Admission tickets will be purchased on arrival.

  • Salisbury Cathedral and Magna Carta

    Enjoy a traditional pub lunch in the centre of Salisbury and briefly explore this charming mediaeval city. Soak up the splendour and scale of Salisbury Cathedral, which boasts Britain's tallest spire, the world's oldest working clock, and the best-preserved original 1215 Magna Carta, an ancient pact safeguarding individual liberty. This document inspired America's Founding Fathers to write their Constitution and Bill of Rights. Admission tickets will be purchased on arrival.

    Wander the ancient landscape at Old Sarum and stand in the footprint of Salisbury's original cathedral. Discover the awe-inspiring Iron Age Hill Fort where it all began and explore the ruins of the former royal castle. Excellent guide, lot of interesting information, safe driver, helpfull wit taking photos and recomending local typical restaurant in Salisbury with very good food. Even it was raining, the day was lovely advanture for adults and also for teeneger.

Amazing tour with a terrific guide! Matt was extremely knowledgeable, very interesting and had a great sense of humor, all of which made for an outstanding experience. He took the time to learn about our interests and customized the day to ensure we got the most out of the tour. Also, he was very personable and a very natural conversationist. We have had a number of very knowledgeable tour guides in the past but not always the best when it comes to engaging in conversation throughout the entire tour. He also gave us a number of terrific recommendations for places to see, things to do and great restaurants to enjoy after our tour with him.
