You will need to show your entry ticket before and after going through security. Keep it handy! My Dad misplaced his when going through the scanner, and we had to buy him another ticket to get into the museum :/

Our visit to the Galleria dell' Accademia was really informative, enjoyable and fantastic to see the skill and craftsmanship of the artists. David of Michelangelo was stunning. Thoroughly enjoyed it and would highly recommend it.

We purchased this tour and given the line which literally took the entire front street, we found our guide and the wait was 15 minutes, very reasonable. Our guide was very knowledgeable once inside, and provided ample informative commentary to satisfy our curiosity. She gave us time for photography which was important to me. We stayed about 3.5 hours. Overall, worth it.

It was an easy entrance despite hordes of tourists. There was a mini panic moment to find gentleman holding the entrance ticket but once we did, we walked right in amidst the crowd.
