MELBOURNE ARTS CENTRE- 100R St Kilda Road, Melbourne This Melbourne Landmark is centrally located, easy to access, and provides plenty of entertainment and amenities for your convenience prior to our tour. Your Midi-Coach and Guide will be waiting for you on St Kilda Road, outside the Arts Centre (with the giant spire ... on top), in front of the Protagonist Cafe (100R St Kilda Road). Please note - the Arts Centre is in-between the National Gallery of Victoria and Hamer Hall. Make sure to Start your Day the Melbourne Way, by enjoying a complimentary barista made coffee from the Protagonist Cafe - refer to your reminder email for details on how to obtain. At the end of the Tour we drop back at the Arts Centre - however, if your hotel is within the CBD area, we can drop you off at your hotel. Please arrange this with us prior to the tour.   • San Remo

    Welcome to the charming coastal town of San Remo, where the iconic bridge to Phillip Island begins. Watch for the famous pelicans that frequent the foreshore, stroll along the beach, or simply take in the stunning seaside views. This is the perfect spot to stretch your legs and enjoy the fresh ocean breeze before continuing our journey.

  • Phillip Island Winery

    Arriving into this beautiful estate, you'll quickly realise why the Phillip Island Winery is a favoured spot for both locals and visitors alike. Take part in a Wine Tasting Experience at the cellar door - tasting a range of different wines harvested throughout the Gippsland Region. Accompanying your tasting is a delicious grazing board, full of meats, cheeses, breads, and other gourmet delights. You will then indulge in a delicious winery feast, consisting of mouth-watering woodfired pizzas, sea-salted fries, and gourmet salads. Take some time out to buy more wine, beers, or ciders should you wish - it's a relaxed experience here.

  • Koala Conservation Reserve

    This is an optional extra in place of your time at Cowes. Our guide will drop you off here, and you'll be able to wander among the beautiful native Australian bushland, where you are guaranteed to spot Koalas in their natural habitat, as well as plenty more native Australian Wildlife. Please be aware, it is now illegal to touch or hold a Koala.

  • Cowes

    Cowes is Phillip Island's main commercial hub, and is a bustling location of restaurants, cafes, breweries, and boutique shops. Here you will have time to explore in your own time.  Our guide will point out the notable spots, and then allow you some freedom to wander.  Visit the ever popular brewery, take a seat at the pub overlooking the waterfront, take part in some retail therapy, take a stroll along the jetty, or even go for a dip in the sparkling blue waters. The time is yours!

  • Flynns Beach

    One of the most beautiful beaches on Phillip Island, and iconic of golden sands and glistening waters found in these areas. You will have a chance to walk in the soft sand, admire the beautiful horizon, and soak in the sea-air of this local beach - one that Chris Hemsworth himself has enjoyed since a young boy.

  • The Nobbies Centre

    This is already one of Phillip Island's main attractions, simply for the sheer beauty it possess - however, we visit this stunning spot right on Golden Hour, allowing us a perfect sight over the glistening waters and rocky cliffs. Enjoy this moment with a Glass of Sparking Wine as you enjoy the views and take  a walk along the boardwalk, taking in spectacular sights, and glimpses of native wildlife. We depart from here along the back roads, providing us unparalleled views over Westernport Bay and Bass Strait, with even more wildlife to spot.

  • Phillip Island Nature Parks Penguin Parade

    A "must do" whilst in Melbourne/Victoria, the Penguin Parade has long been the star attraction of Phillip Island.  We arrive here early enough so as you can take some time in this world-class visitor centre, and grab a bite to eat from the cafe should you wish. You will then make your way out to the Penguin Viewing Platform, awaiting the arrival of the stars of the shows - the Little Penguins. As the sun begins to set, your ranger-guide will provide you information on these cute little creatures, and then you will see literally thousands of them make their way onto the beach and up the hill side. Walk along the boardwalk as you get within inches of these native Australian Penguins, admiring their uniqueness and cuteness alike. Once we have had our cuteness overload, we board back on the bus - making our way back to Melbourne...with plenty of good memories to accompany us for the journey back

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. All of our stops were nice, the beauty of Philip Island was awesome and probably the highlight of the tour. Our tour guide, Mike, went above and beyond in making the tour educational with his knowledge and pleasurable with his desire to ensure we had a good time. Thanks Mike!

Thank you so much for this great experience! We visited Phillip Island from Melbourne for a wine tasting at the PI Winery (the best wines!), the Koala Conservation Reserve (up and close) and - of course - the Penguin Parade. The penguins were so worth the trip! Rod was such a great tour guide, we had loads of fun with the group. Can really recommend!

Once in a lifetime

The whole trip was brilliantly executed from start to finish, You can get right up close to the penguins with the right ticket, The winery was very good and the tasting was just for your group. The wine tasting is served with a platter of meats cheeses bread olives figs and crackers. Next we were served a lunch of pizza and chips which was also very good. Then it was off to Cowes to spend an hour or so enjoying the beach and shops. Then we were picked up again and taken to the “Nobbies” which is an area with a steep cliff but most of the area has a board walk to allow you to get around easily whilst looking at the landscape and the burrows of the penguins perhaps catching site of one or two of the penguin residents and other wildlife. On return to the mini bus we were treated to a glass of fizz, then we slowly headed to across the cliff tops in the mini bus whilst spotting a few more Penguins lots of Wallabies and some grey geese. 15 minutes later we arrived at the Penguin Parade car park we were then escorted by our guide into the reception hall where we were given our tickets for the Penguin Parade. It is worth saying at this point the better your ticket the more Penguins you will see some in our party only saw 40-80 come up the beach where we sat we literally saw 100’s within 30cm of us.We had purchased the Premier Plus seating which was worth every last penny. Also once in the grand stand style seating area I would advise sitting at the front and near to the gap in the bushes as that is where most of the penguins waddle through.

It was an amazing travel day from wine tasting to an Italian meal to seeing birds, Koalas, Wallabies, and the penguins. Our guide Rod was amazing. It is and was a 12 hour day so be rested but flies by!
