Join our Specialized Naturalist Guides in a Nature Quest. A journey that will take you into the Cloud Forest right after the sun sets in the horizon, and the darkness reveals the magical world few human eyes have ever witnessed. Every day at 6:00 p. m. and for approximately two hours you may experience the magical transformation that occurs within the heart of one of the most biodiversed forests in the world at Ficus Trails. transportation in the Monteverde-Santa Elena area, from 5:30 p.m., depending on how far the tour hotel is. Closed shoes, light poncho, long pants, jacket and camera are highly recommended. There is a maximum group size of 9.

    Discover the hidden treasures of the tropics’ most endangered habitat, the Cloud Forest. Only 2% of the world is a Cloud Forest. Join our Specialized Naturalist Guides in a Nature Quest. A journey that will take you into the Cloud Forest right after the sun sets in the horizon, and the darkness reveals the magical world few human eyes have ever witnessed. Every day at 6:00 p. m. and for approximately two hours you may experience the magical transformation that occurs within the heart of one of the most biodiversed forests in the world at Ficus Trails. At this time in the forest the protagonists are the animals that live in this habitat, where you can see some birds sleeping, as well as the nightlife of animals like some mammals that go out to eat at this time. Transportation, flashlights and Bilingual Naturalist Guides are always available. Closed shoes, light poncho, long pants, jacket and camera are highly recommended.

Fantastic experience!

My wife and I absolutely loved this tour. It is an entirely different experience being out in the forest at night. The sights and sounds are incredible. Our guide Ulmond (sp?) was extremely knowledgeable, funny and great at spotting wildlife. We saw many frogs, multiple green vipers, tarantulas, and Kinkajous. Highly recommend this trip with Ulmond!

Mauricio was very friendly, informative, and funny. He made sure everyone on the tour was included and able to see each creature. Very much enjoyed and recommend 100%.

Absolutely fantastic tour!! One of the highlights of our 2 month trip touring central America. We saw frogs, a viper, all types of spiders and a sloth! My only complaint is with the taxi company. We couldn’t find our hotel in the pick up list so walked there in the hope we’d be able to get the shuttle on the way back. The guy was driving back to Santa Elena with the rest of our group but refused to take us even though there was space in the van which was very frustrating. Otherwise, fantastic experience and highly recommend

We loved this tour. It was well-organized and our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about what he was talking about. We saw very unique animals that we wouldn't ever notice without his trained eye.
