Overview

This amazing adventure is one of the TOP tour in Monterrey, la Huasteca. To begin, the guide will outfit you with a harness, helmet, climbing and rappel kit. The group then hikes for 90 minutes to the first amazing point of view. There is a small scrambling section before we clip into the safety cables and begin climbing up. Step and grab onto the rocks to climb up and feel the adrenaline. At halfway up, we stop for water, snacks and photos. Then we continue climbing up the the top of the mountain. We have then to make 3 rappels of 100ft each,to get back to the vehicles and go back to drop off point.

Enjoy a thrilling hiking and rock climbing experience in Monterrey on this "Nido de los Aguiluchos" tour. With safety cables, metal rungs and ropes to help you climb, it’s an activity suitable even for first-time climbers. It is recommended that you are not afraid of heights and that you like mountain activities. Challenge yourself to climb the entire route and feel a rush of adrenaline as you reach the mountain summit. Excellent experience from the group and amazing adventure I would definitely recommend. The team was very helpful, it was my first time doing such an extreme hike like this, and I loved every part of it!

I had an amazing time on this trip- It’s definitely a bit of a challenge, but you don’t need anything more than a sturdy pair of shoes/boots, a hydro pack, sunglasses, sunblock, maybe a few snacks and some layers!! If it’s a colder time of year, you’ll definitely want gloves since you’ll use your hands climbing the rocks and they get cold. Make sure they’re gloves that are thin but have some grip- not the cheap one size fits all type you used to wear when you were five. Overall, I’d go back and take friends just for the views alone! Don’t forget to tip your guides at the end.

Awesome tour! You start early and it’s worth it for a great day. A relatively harder hike and need to be in good shape. Bring water!
