Itinerary

You will cover lots of ground and capture a real feel for life in Nassau, the most amazing island of the Bahamas. You can drive-by and visit the Queen's Staircase, a stone stairway of 65 steps, one for each year of Queen Victoria’s rule; The Water Tower, built in 1928 to maintain water pressure in Nassau; Arawak Cay, named after the original West Indian inhabitants of the islands; the local hangout referred to as the “Fish fry,” which is a cluster of popular restaurants and bars where you can find Bahamian delicacies and one-of-a-kind drinks. You can drive to Fort Charlotte, the largest and most interesting of the three forts found in Nassau. The fort was built in 1789 by Lord Dunmore and named in honor of the wife of King George III. You can also choose to visit Bahamar, the newest and largest development in the Bahamas where you will find some of the most popular hotel chains. You can visit the Caves, formerly known to house the ‘Lucayans,’ residents who lived on the islands of the Bahamas around the 10th century until the Christopher Columbus time. The Caves are now home for the Buffy Flower Bat also known as the Fruit Bat Old Fort Bay, a gated community where many celebrities reside such as Sean Connery from the famous James Bond movies, should definitely be on your places to visit in Nassau. Your Buggy rental will conclude at its departure point.

  • Guests under the influence, or appearing under the influence of alcohol or other substances, will not be allowed to operate a Buggy
  • Guests will be required to sign a rental contract at check in and leave a damage waiver of $500.00 per vehicle.
  • Car seats are required for infants 5 years and younger
  • Car seats are available at an extra cost
  • Roundtrip transportation is not included. Available for a fee, call to make arrangements
  • Vehicle must be returned full of gasoline
  • Roundtrip transportation is included only from the Cruiseport

Great time! Friendly staff!

Super friendly staff! Desire was great. Highly recommend! We had a great time. We explored far west for Jaws Beach, hit the fish fry and saw queens staircase.

Great Family Experience

The entire Bowcar team were great. From meeting us at the cruise pier to suggesting places to see. They are professional and very friendly. Alicia was the office staff and extremely helpful in guiding us. The shuttle to and from pier was pleasant. We enjoyed going off on our own via the 6 person buggy. With two younger kids, the rental was perfect way to explore Nassau and see local attractions.

The people that worked there were awesome! Gave us all the info we needed about how to “stay left”. Check in and check out process was very professional and friendly. Buggies were extremely clean and in great condition.

Our experience with Bowcar was great! The staff was sooo kind. We were greeted with happy vibes and kindness. The Buggys were great! The staff gave us a walk through with the Buggys (we rented 2) and made sure I was fit for the Buggy I was driving (I'm a little short). We were picked up at the port and they brought us back to Port at the end of our rental. Everything went just as they advertised and better!

Staff was very professional and friendly. Everything was as described in the posting. I will definitely do this again. I highly recommend. It was my first time driving in Nassau and around the island. Local drivers were very kind. You get the hang of driving on the left side of the road after a little while.
