Overview

Most people know a theme park inspired by one famous mouse. But one dedicated to monkeys? At Monkeyland, a natural habitat located deep in the Dominican Republic’s jungle and home to squirrel monkeys. On this 5.5-hour guided tour where you'll also explore the habitat's on-site botanical garden, as well as a coffee and cacao plantation. Chat it up with local farmers, learn about their organic methods and taste tropical fruit just plucked from a tree. Hotel transport from Punta Cana and Bavaro is included.

We got picked up at our resort and from the start Gary was an awesome tour guide and Raphael the driver was just as good Gary explained a lot of stuff along the way about Dominican culture and life and about the monkeys. Once at the plantation it was good to try the coffee and cocoa the off to the monkeys which was the part the kids were looking forward to. It did not disappoint at all. The monkey land guides Roy and Anthony were awesome and very knowledgeable and friendly and explained everything we needed to know about the monkeys. Highly recommend the excursion to anyone

This excursion was definitely fun and different; I would give it a 10/10 and definitely recommend. Our tour guide Gary was the best and on the way to the excursion he told us about the culture and what we saw. Felix, our driver, ensured we got there safely but be prepared for the sporadic rain (you will get wet because the transportation was a safari bus). The staff overall was friendly and they ensured we was informed of what all was going to take place. Visiting the monkey sanctuary was exhilarating and we enjoyed the tour to learn about the coffee and hot chocolate. Overall the tour was excellent.

The views for photos were beautiful and the monkeys were adorable! The guides were funny and made the experience even better. This was my second time and would recommend to anyone who is an animal lover!
