Overview

Private Day Trip from Zagreb to Ljubljana and Lake Bled takes you to Slovenia, a small country of great natural and cultural significance. You will spend the day in the natural green environment of Lake Bled and surrounding cliffs and hills in the foothills of Julien Alps and exploring Slovenia’s capital city. Itinerary

  • Zagreb 360

    We will start the trip in the morning hours with pick up at your accommodation in Zagreb and a pleasant 30 minute drive towards Slovenian boarder.

  • Lake Bled

    Our first stop is Lake Bled situated in the foothills of Julien Alps. Here you will get a postcard views of Slovenia’s only island with Assumption of Mary Church hidden in the lush greenery. You can stroll around the lake or take a traditional wooden boat across the lake to visit the magical island in the middle of the lake with the Church of the Assumption.

  • Bled Castle (Blejski Grad)

    Before leaving we will visit Bled Castle rising on the cliff overlooking the lake. The oldest castle in Slovenia, with some parts dating back to 11th century, offers an amazing view over the lake and Alps in the background. Today castle houses a collection of armor and weapons, jewelry, paintings and display of history of Bled. Visit to the castle is optional depending on your wishes.

  • Ljubljana Old Town

    Roaming the streets of Ljubljana city centre you will witness unique blend of Baroque, Secession and Modernist architecture with medieval castle overlooking the city. You can take a short hike up to Ljubljana Castle, visit Tivoli Park and admire beautiful churches and city bridges. Once you are ready to leave Ljubljana we will take a two hour drive back to your accommodation in Zagreb.

Everything about our trip with Tom was perfect, from his picking us up at our location on time, his knowledge of the region and history, the restaurant he chose for lunch, and all around wonderful demeanor. He is kind and considerate and we got to see everything we had hoped for and more! Highly recommend him and this tour and hope one day to return and do it again!
