Hear from producer Martin Wilson, producer of Lake District Drives website. Do it all in three hours or linger at stops along the way with complete control over when you start and finish. Get unlimited use before your booking date and after it use the virtual tour option at home. Once you’ve booked, you’ll receive a ticket with instructions and a unique code listed under “Before You Go”. Then simply install the Voice Map app and enter your code. Audio guided driving tour through The Lakes.

Great narrator and oration! I love that the tour is connected to our location; commentary and directions automatically pop up when you enter certain spaces. Lots of information and history alongside recommendations for trails and other lookouts. It works even if you skip a site or two or pause for a while and come back.

Couldn’t recommend this tour enough! Informative, fun and interesting. It really brings the natural history as well as the industrial past of the area to life. Like having your own personal tour guide in the car with you. An absolute bargain.

We were thinking about doing an organised Lake District tour but found this self drive audio tour and were not disappointed. Such a beautiful area around Borrowdale and Buttermere and the tour took us to places we would we would not have found ourselves, telling us all about them and more along the way. We liked that we could set our own pace and would recommend a few stops along the way to break it up a bit, explore attractions and enjoy the scenery more.
