On arrival we were greeted by a young guy who asked if we wanted our picture taken(very fun and was a relaxed vibe all proceeds go to the zoo and up keep)..the zoo it’s self was very good it kept going and going lots of animals exotic and farm yard animals too didn’t really see many keepers but when I did they where all busy with the up keep making sure it was clean and tidy..maybe volunteers might be a good idea for the up keep of the zoo and the keepers could make sure the animals cages are free from old food stuffs..let me point out that there where NO animals that looked hurt or sick!!!!!!!..all looked fine and dandy..if you don’t want food from the cafe then take a picnic!!..it’s worth the drive we loved it and remember all proceeds go to the conservation of the animals and the programme they have to help us understand about what we can do to help the zoo and the animals,

Wonderful little zoo. Has amazing variety of animals for such a small place and very densely packed - there's far more animals in there than you'd expect, and the enclosures aren't too small! Pygmy hippos were a real highlight, especially the baby one. A very impressive selection of Aussie animals and a really lovely farmyard area with very friendly and curious cows, donkeys, horses and sheep. The reptile section had the largest python I've ever seen. We went on a very rainy day and all the undercover bits and the dense tree canopies made it a great day out on a wet day because lots of it was protected from the rain. Only downside was the restaurant - staff very disinterested apart from one serving girl who seemed to be doing most of the work, and they used frozen Ristorante-brand pizzas!! However you don't go to the zoo for quality dining, it was a wet, quiet October day and the pizzas and chips were perfectly fine for a family lunch, and reasonably priced as well.

Lovely little zoo. Lots of shade. The kids could have spent hours swimming next to the penguins. Looked very clean. Ideal for 3 hours or so.

A great day out in a surprisingly big zoo. It was well shaded for a hot afternoon. The photographers at the entrance were so friendly. Highly recommended for any ages that love animals.

Great place to visit,lots to see.Good food on site,nice shop.Good parking across the road.Not far from Lagos itself.
