Overview

Departure from Palenque at 6:00 am. Stop en route for breakfast, transfer to the corozal border jetty, take a boat to visit the archaeological zone of Yaxchilan later visit Bonampak, lunch (included) and free afternoon, dinner (included) and stay to sleep in cabins inside the jungle in the community of Lacanja. 2 Day. Have breakfast (included), walk in the Lacandon jungle to visit the waterfalls of the Mactunina river, lunch (included) and return to Palenque at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Wow This trip was totally worth it. We had a great time visiting the archeological sites, we did pay for a guide. There is just so much history there that is important you absorb all the Information. We had such a blast, we meet new people. We did the walk to the waterfall and another small arqueológicas sure with a great young guide; a Mayan girls called Vania chambor Espinoza. 13 year old who knows her way around the jungle. We learned about animals and medicinal plants; and to top it off we swam for more than an hour in the waterfall. Honestly such of a great adventure. Thing you need to know, there is no internet, you can buy at the small convenience store they give you a code which is for 1 hour and the cost is 25 pesos per hour, keep in mind that if you want to use it you have to be close to the store, I was to far away but I used it the next day; also no TV, the point of this is unplugged from electronics; instead we enjoyed the night sky and a couple of beers. The Lacandon people are super nice and very helpful. We had a blast. I hope you do to.
