If you want to be sure to optimize your time, choose the "walking with local tour leader" option to be sure to see all the main monuments from the best point of view and use your free time for shopping and taste local food.

    See the most important landmarks of the city center like the fabulous marble Dome with its bell tower, the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge) and the Signoria Square, the tour will terminate a the characteristic Central Market where you will have the opportunity to taste many local dishes and by excellent local products.

    Visit Central Market, one of the results from the time of risanamento, during the late nineteenth century. Inside, is possible to find primary ingredients of Tuscan cuisine, fruits and vegetable stands as well as nuts and spices. Outside, you can find leather goods.

    Is the cathedral of Florence, Italy (Italian: Duomo di Firenze). It was begun in 1296 in the Gothic style and structurally completed by 1436.

Exactly what we wanted!

This excursion suited us very well as the guide Lara gave us all the information and maps etc which allowed us then to explore Florence on our own which we thoroughly enjoyed. Everything went according to plan and our driver George was very competent and comfortable bus. Those who wished to have a guided walking tour could pay a little extra. Florence is a very walkable city so on our own suited our needs

This was totally worth it!! We lived our guide and they dropped us off in a perfect spot. We had 5 hours to enjoy beautiful Florence and they even offered a guided tour but we went on our own. They were on time and the nicest kindest people! We got off our cruise at 9:00 and made it to the most with time to spare. Just amazing!!! would highly recommend! Got back to the cruise ship with time to spare! Thank you

A Flavour of Florence

Very easy to pick up the coach from just outside La Spezia cruise terminal. Martina, our “guide” was very informative on the way to Florence, giving commentary as we made our way there. Pick up and drop off instructions were very concise and made good use of the map that was issued to us. Once again, Martina was excellent with this. We had a fabulous 5 hours or so exploring Florence, just about enough time to locate and see the major sites, and it gave us enough flavour of the city to make a decision about returning for a longer break there. A really good day out and well worth it. This is only the second time we have used Viator, 1st time 12 months ago in Sorrento, and on both occasions we have been delighted. Well done!!
