Overview

Embark on an unforgettable helicopter tour of Hawaii’s Big Island, soaring over the erupting Kilauea Volcano and experiencing the raw power of one of the world’s most active volcanoes. Formed 300,000 to 600,000 years ago as the Pacific tectonic plate moved over the Hawaiian hot spot, Kilauea is the youngest of the island’s five volcanoes. From 4,091 feet above sea level, you’ll gaze down on lush forests surrounding the volcano, their vibrant greens contrasting with the stark black lava fields. As you fly above rivers of molten lava meeting the ocean in a spectacular display of steam and fire, you’ll feel the Earth’s dynamic energy in every moment. With over 30 eruptions in the past six decades, Kilauea is constantly reshaping the landscape, and as you take in the sights, you’ll sense the presence of Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of fire and volcanoes. It’s a breathtaking experience that will stay with you long after you return to solid ground.

  • For doors off tours, jackets and/or sweatshirts, closed toe shoes, and hair ties are required. Long pants are recommended.
