Overview

Kayak Descent on the Lima River has the enticement to cross safely low speeds, along a pollution-free valley, allowing you to enjoy nature in its pure and relaxing state. During the descent, they will be accompanied by a monitor in the water, plus a support vehicle outside the river. At the end, while the participants change their clothes, we transfer the drivers to the beginning where they left the vehicles.

KAYAK TOUR I “Ecovia do Rio Lima in Kayak”, is an activity that allows you to travel one of its most beautiful routes in the water, the Section of Açudes! Along a route that connects Ponte da Barca and Ponte de Lima, you will safely cross rapids and low difficulty dams, inserted in a pollution-free valley, allowing you to enjoy nature in its pure and relaxing state. Tourist route suitable for beginners always accompanied by Centro Aventura monitors!

A great experience!

What a fantastic experience! Was a great opportunity to experience the beautiful region from the vantage point of the water! A well choreographed route with great scenery. The guide/instructor on our trip was excellent with clear instructions and professionalism - especially with a large and sometimes challenging group. It was also well appreciated the provision for snacks at the halfway point which catered for dietary needs of my daughter. Would recommend this company and experience to anyone wanting to experience north Portugal.

A Perfect Afternoon

We were looking for a little outdoor adventure, something off the beaten trail of touristy Portuguese towns and cities. We found it - it was a perfect way to cap off our vacation. River Lima was lovely and the right level of challenge, offering long stretches of calm water interrupted by 4-5 rapids which required focus, fast paddling and bursts of adventure. The tour group leader (Paulo) was terrific -- calm, kind, patient, competent, and reassuring. He was also fun to talk to about any topic (not just kayaking). The entire region is quite beautiful, full of vineyards, so just getting to the staring point is worth a drive. I highly recommend this tour, for any number of people (there were just three of us). We were pretty fit seniors with some kayaking experience. I would recommend it for everyone except maybe unfit old-timers with no kayaking experience.

Kayaking down river Lima in style

My wife and I - in our fifties - had a great afternoon kayaking down the Lima in mid-May 2024. It's a great stretch of the river to do this on - a few interesting rapids, wide open sections and some parts under the tree canopy. Never mattered with a little rain. All the gear to keep us safe (and warm & dry) was provided. If you know it might be drizzly then what better to do - not sitting round the pool anyway. Next time we'll try in sunshine perhaps too. Many thanks to the whole team.

My husband and I were very lucky to be the only 2 on our trip and we were spoilt. Paulo and Helda gave us a fun and safe adventure on their beautiful river on a sunny day. Highly recommended.
