Visiting from Hawaii, my family booked a 4-day tour with Jeju Fabio last week. Our tours started at 9am and typically ended at 6pm upon the return to our hotel. From the outset, it was so very obvious that Fabio had a tremendous knowledge and love for Jeju Island. Our particular agenda involved a series of relatively short but amazingly beautiful hikes, museum tours (e.g. Jeju Haenyeo, Arte, Osulloc Tea Museum), Seogwipo Ferry Cruise, Jeju Folk Village, Snoopy Garden Theme Park, and an abundance of natural beauty. Jeju Island is extremely photogenic! Our lunch meal locations were suggested by Fabio after giving him our taste preferences. For example, our family wanted to eat fresh seafood within a certain price range. Fabio then suggested an eatery with a beautiful seaside view of Jeju. The cuisine was absolutely fresh, delicious, and reflective of Jeju Island’s local seafood culture. In fact, all of our delicious lunch meals reflected aspects of Jeju Island.
Finally, I really appreciated that Fabio would often accompany us on our hikes. At times, I marveled at Fabio’s absolute happiness and contentment being out in Jeju’s natural environment. It was as if Fabio were visiting these locations for the first time himself! Fabio’s love of Jeju Island was absolutely infectious and made our first visit to Jeju Island a most memorable experience. Much Aloha and a Big Mahalo to Jeju Fabio! P.S. The tangerine tea from Osulloc was amazing!
